I.M.E.C. srl supplies the people who build and maintain electrical systems, from our office and warehouse at Via Pecorina 51 in Sarzana, in the province of La Spezia, Italy. To check whether an item is in stock or to get a price, the quickest way is to phone.
Three product lines, one warehouse
The company name already says what we sell. I.M.E.C. stands for Ingrosso Materiale Elettrico Cavi, Italian for "wholesale electrical supplies and cables", and electric pumps sit alongside those two lines. These three families are what the Sarzana warehouse is built around.

How ordering works
- Call or email. Give us the product code if you have it, or describe what you need: brand, model, quantity and, for cable, the cross-section and length.
- We check stock and price. We tell you what is on the shelf and what has to be ordered from the supplier, and how long that takes.
- Collect at Via Pecorina. Your goods wait for you at the Sarzana warehouse. Please call before you set off to check opening hours.
Before you call: what to have ready
Most calls that need a second round are caused by one missing detail. Have these ready and you will usually get your answer on the first call:
- For a replacement part: the brand and code printed on the part you are replacing. A photo of the rating plate sent by email beats any description.
- For switches, sockets and cover plates: the wiring-device range already installed and its colour. Different ranges from the same maker often do not fit each other's frames.
- For cable: type, number of cores, cross-section in mm², length needed and where it will be installed. The installation location decides the fire class required.
- For an electric pump: what it is for, the flow and head required, the power supply available (230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase) and, for wells, the bore diameter.
